Response:

Try turning both pickups up (or down) to the same volume. They are humbuckers then. -Frank – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > Just got a Mexi Jazz bass as a back up and screw around bass to > complement my > a > little…….can someone tell me how to fix this?  I would like to do > it myself > in my workshop as i am pretty handy.  Thanks bottom dwellers : ) > Christopher

I’m not sure if this is possible but you might be able to take that Jazz bass to your nearest fender dealer or any music store and maybe have them put some kind of shielding cause i doubt it has any. So it’s worth a try. It’ll reduce the hum anyways. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> Try turning both pickups up (or down) to the same volume.
