Question:
My 1990 Prelude 2.0S (non-fi) won’t stay running when it’s cold. If I give it gas for a minute or so it will I believe the choke is not working when it needs to. Any ideas on how to fix this annoying problem? Matt Faile 1981 CJ-8 Scrambler Before you buy.
Response:
Matt, probable sticky choke linkages, take a can of rust penetrant and a can of WD40, while moving the throttle back and forth spray the penetrant all around ALL the linkages on both carbs, look carefully with a flashlight to find all of them. Then do the same thing with the WD. If this doesn’t take care of it it’s probably gummed up throttle slides, email for details. regards, Chris – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > My 1990 Prelude 2.0S (non-fi) won’t stay running > when it’s cold.
